Galle Fort, palm-fringed beaches and the southern coast, all a short drive away.

WHERE WE ARE

Tucked into a quiet village, close to everything that makes Sri Lanka's south so loved.

The Sage House sits on Heenitagala Road, in a small village among the paddy fields near Galle, away from the bustle of the main road. It is about 20 minutes from the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, 10–15 minutes from the south coast's best beaches at Unawatuna and Dalawella, and around 25 minutes from the Handunugoda Tea Estate.

Near enough to explore the coast every day & far enough to come home to quiet, birdsong and your own two acres of garden.

Browse the galleries and boutiques, watch the sun set from the lighthouse, and linger over lunch before the easy drive home.

It is the south coast's most beloved landmark, and one of the great pleasures of staying near Galle.

10-15 MINUTES AWAY

The beaches of Unawatuna & Dalawella

Some of Sri Lanka's most beautiful beaches are a short drive from the villa: the gentle, palm-fringed bay of Unawatuna, the famous rope swing and calm waters of Dalawella, and quiet stretches of sand all along the southern coast.

Spend the morning swimming and the afternoon over a long lunch by the sea, then return to your own garden and pool when the day cools.
